So my testing is somewhat unofficial
but thought I'd give some feedback.
Got an error message on my HTC TYTN II which I unfortunately didn't write down before rebooting now all my contacts are gone.
I'll return further feedback soon.

Why not to use ActiveSync to transfer contacts to Outlook on your PC? If you do not like Outlook, there is a lot of good software for PIM data backup. Sorry, but the problem has not much in common with Inesoft Phone functionality. There's no contact backup tool in Inesoft Phone, but is it really necessary if you already have built-in ones? |

Hi Wasyl,
Thanx for your reply. I'm a bit confused by it though.
I haven't said anything about using Inesoft Phone to back up my PIM data.
What happened was that I was trying out Phone 5 and while's I was accessing my contact information (to be specific editing contact details) the application froze and I got an error message. So I did a soft reset.
After that when I accessed my contacts with Inesoft Phone 5 all my contact information was gone. I thought maybe the Phone5 application was just not speaking to the database properly so I uninstalled IP5. but when I tried to access my contacts with the default contact application, I still had no contacts - the contact database was gone. so I restored my contacts with PPCPIM Backup. after that I reinstalled IP5 and it worked ok.
I have since gone back to IP 4.54 since I prefer to use my registered application and also because I didn't like the GUI of IP5.
Hope this explains my posts - I apologise for making them so short it was difficult to understand what I was going on about.
Cheers,
Esinam. _________________ Jesus Saves |

The dialer doesn't override the default dialer on my Sprint Touch Pro unless I turn off phone mode. Also won't blacklist private calls. Any ideas? Thanks. Other than that this is the best contacts program I have used. |
