When viewing a contact (either on its own window or beneath the contacts list) there is a phone icon to the right of each phone number which can be tapped to phone this number. Similarly, there is an email icon to the right of each email address, which can be used to send an email to this address.
What I would like to have is an additional icon for mobile phones only, which would be tapped to send an SMS to that number.
For enhanced usability, there could also (or alternatively) be (especially on the contact window, probably not when the contact is displayed beneath the list) bigger buttons at the bottom of the screen which would change as the focus moves: on a mobile phone, the buttons would allow to send SMS or call; on another phone, the buttons would allow to call; on email addresses, the button would allow to send email, etc. Currently, for most contacts there is too much empty space at the bottom of the screen. |
